Amazon Help please

I had an order through Amazon for a GPS system on the 14th March. I shipped this item on the 15th March.

I had an email on the 28th March from the buyer to say he hadn't received the GPS but he had received the case and card (Which was posted the same day). I replied to him and told him to wait until the 1st April to see if it would turn up.

I had an email from him on the 1st April to say it hadn't arrived. He was getting pretty abusive so I posted another GPS system out the same day.

I had another email this morning to say it still hadn't arrived, followed by another email around 4pm to say he is going to contact consumer advice.

I would like to know of any advice. I am going to be out of pocket around £375 after all of this is over (If it doesn't get to court). I would like to know if anyone has had a similar experience.

    Have you sent them by trackable means? If not you may have no choice but to take the hit as you have no proof he has received the goods.
    If at first you don't succeed, maybe bomb disposal isn't the best career choice.

    The first one no I didn't but the second one was sent recorded and was signed for by a flatmate of his but he is saying he doesn't know them. :mad:

  • Provided you have full proof of posting he has not got a leg to stand on. The delivery service would be held responsible if they allowed a third party to sign for the goods . . and not you.

    The motto here is ALWAYS send items like that with a proof of delivery service.

    Drop him an email saying that since someone in his block or near-by is committing fraud, you just need to check that he doesn't know the person who signed as the Police wanted you to check it wasn't a mistake before they sent someone out.... I suspect that he will then suddenly 'remember' the flatmate.
  • Just wanted to say that hope you get this situation sorted out ok (I used to sell on eBay and a similar thing happened to me once - I ended up reimbursing the buyer, and maybe this is what your buyer is pushing for).

    Have you tried contacting Amazon for help, or checking their terms & conditions for sellers? They have quite a good forum there too, with sellers who might be able to help you specifically?
