I should contact the college and see if you can either pay in instalments or get a loan or some student grant of some kind.0

I did contact the college and they said i have to pay the enrollment fee in full on the 16th of august or they will give my place to someone else. I am looking into getting a student grant but doubt i would get it before the enrollment date0

Did you explain that you are on benefits and have no qualifications? If you can get hold of the course tutor to tell them this they might point you in the right direction.0

No will there be anyone to talk at the college now tho?0

Is this a normal FE college, one that gets government funding? And, is the course an NVQ or similar recognised qualification? If it is, ask the admin office whether you are entitled to have your fees remitted. I used to work at an FE college and students could get their fees remitted (meaning they don't have to pay anything) provided they brought evidence of their benefit status when they were enrolling.250

Just spoke to someone at the college and was told my tuition fees will be waved if i receive certain benefits. I will still have to pay the registration and enrolment fee which in total is £88. I can't afford that so i'm not sure what to do now.0

Could you ask them to hold your place open until next year so that you could save up? Alternatively, do you have anything you could sell to raise the money?0 -

Would they be able to hold my place open?
I don't have anything to sell that would make up that amount.0
