Hi everyone, I've lost my bank card and phoned up to cancel, I should receive a new one in 3-5 days. Do I have to tell my employer my bank details have changed, or do they pay it direct to my actual bank account number and not debit card number? Also I am awaiting a withdrawal to this card from a betting site, will this be cancelled at the card has been cancelled? Thanks for any advice.

The only time your cards number is used is for recurring payments such as for utilities (if you have set them up this way) so you should call them.
Everything else (DDs and wages) should be going through your bank acct number.
You should be fine.0 -

Re your wages and any DD's etc, they are fine as they go by your sort code and account number.
The betting site could be a different matter - if they go by sort code and account number then the transaction will go through. However, if they go by 16 digit card number, expiry date and ccv2 then the payment will be canceled if it hadn't/hasn't already gone through. Not as green as I am cabbage looking0 -
