Flights to India

Hi all

i need to book flights from london (LHR) to Mumbai(BOM) or Ahmedabad(AMD) going out beyween 1- 4 December06 and coming back 28Dec06. I would prefer to have direct flights as this is for my mum or at least have flights where if there was a change of flights, she would be in transit and not have to check in her lugguage again.
any help will be much appreciated.

thanks

Best thing to do is get some prices off the net - https://www.ebookers.com is usually cheapest for flights. Then call Southall Travel or Skylark in Southall so you know if you're getting a good deal. Also, get the two agents competing with each other to get the best price.

I also haven't had good experience with Southall travel (involving a holiday to Dubai as well). However they have now become pretty big and are advertising all over the place, so hopefully they have improved.

Re india, December is a peak travel time.

Re non direct flights, they will normally have luggage checked all the way to india, so there is no problem there.

put it this way, i spent my new years eve in the middle of a freezing cold desert with very little entertainment with a bunch of other miserable people who were also told we'd be a gala dinner at the hotel
