Contacting BT

I wonder if anyone can help - a colleague has a billing issue, AND a strong local accent. He finds he cannot understand the 'normal' bt callcentre staff, as incidentally they cannot understand him.

Is there then any way to contact a callcentre or other bt helpful person within the UK

I can second using Live Chat, just had my first experience of it and very impressed. Back in January I added Line Rental Saver to my account and several errors were made so I had to ring through to the call centres several times and got more and more frustrated and angry about the very poor Customer Service. I complained in the end and was rung back by someone who I could not understand as the speaker spoke very quietly and with a foreign accent. On receiving my bill today I found another error so not wanting the stress of ringing them up I saw the option for Live Chat and I am very impressed and far less stressed. If it is a complaint though I would email the Chief Executive direct, email addresses for all the CEs of the large companies can be found on this site and it is marvellous what an email to the CEs office achieves.
