Disabled Amazon buyers denied VAT exemption

I would urge people never to buy disability aids via Amazon, as disabled people are NOT given the ability to claim VAT exemption and are charged at the full price. I would urge you to pass this on.

I ordered a wheelchair from Bin-To Ltd. (also known as Bynto Ltd.) through Amazon, expecting to be given a VAT exemption declaration. This was not forthcoming.

It is a legal right of disabled people to be exempted from VAT on certain mobility items. Buying through Amazon appears to exist in some sort of bubble, with VAT automatically charged and buyers denied the right and ability to be exempted.

This is wrong - it may not even be legal!

Would it be worth contacting Revenue & Customs or Trading Standards?
