pandora bracelet help please

hello lovely people, am needing some advice please.

I bought 2 pink leather pandora bracelets from the same shop, (1 in december for my daughter for xmas and one in january for my other daughters birthday )
I also have the same pink leather bracelet but bought from another shop. We all wear our bracelets every day but take them off for showering etc so they dont ever get wet. Now the pink on both of my daughters bracelets has started to wear off. My bracelet is still perfect.

I have taken them back to the shop who sent them back to pandora. Pandora have said they will replace them if i provide the receipts , now i can only find one receipt.

I kind of think that seeing as both bracelets are faulty they shoud replace them without the need for a receipt , is this right ??

many thanks :)

Technically, a receipt isn't required - you only need proof of purchase. How did you pay? Do you have a card statement showing both individual purchases?

However, in reality, it may prove difficult in getting the shop/manufacturer to accept anything other than a receipt.

thanks for your reply phoodless, unfortunatly i paid cash, I do have the boxes and gift bags that came with them but they are just generic pandora boxes/gift bags . I was going to try and argue that as both bracelets from this particular shop seem to be faulty and as mine bought from a different shop is ok , maybe they had a poor quality delivery?

I know it's only a term of phrase, but try not to argue with anyone - you may get a lot further.

You need to understand it from the retailers/manufacturers point of view. They need to see that you actually bought the items (and bought them from the retailers shop in their case) and not stole them.

Did the shop recognise you at all when you went back in? (Slim chance I know) or maybe ask them politely if they could check their records for a receipt if you know the right date and approximate time you bought them?

lol i will be very smiley and polite :) , i also bought x2 charms at the same time as the bracelet and one of the charm boxes has a little mark on the bottom which they put on (wanted to know which charm was which without opening the gift bags) so maybe the will play ball with that, if not i will ask them to look throught their receipts, good thinking ;) thank you x

    how stupid is that!!!!!!!!!!!
they will accept that ONE is faulty and needs replacing because you have a receipt for it- but that the other doesn't need replacing because it's leather and the colour will wear off presumably because you can't find the receipt - the whole situation is bonkers:mad:

I would try again - they have accepted that one item needs replacing - so if the other has the same fault, then it's quite obvious that the other does too, it's common sense ( which I know isn't very common these days!)
clearly the items are not fit for purpose and I would write to them informing them that you are taking civil court action - it may make them offer you a "gesture of goodwill exchange" to avoid court

this makes me so cross - they KNOW they will get reimbursed by pandora of they exchange them - they simply can't be bothered
this is such poor customer service.

Have you contacted pandora directly? they may offer an exchange if you let them know how dissatisfied you are

    *update*

have spoken directly to pandora (as the shop I initially dealt with are just plain rude) apparently the leather bracelets only come with a 30 day warranty although we should of been told to moisturise the bracelets regularly  . Anyway thanks for your advice guys :D
