Recommendations for driveway floor paint needed

I currently have a concrete drive, can fit 2 good sized cars on it. The concrete is solid and in good nick but looks like it could do with some TLC, it's been power washed and is now looking cleaner than ever but it still needs something. So I though I could paint it with floor paint. I've had a look online and there's all sorts of concrete floor paint for all sorts of uses. I'm confused!
Could you lovely people of MSE recommend a good hard wearing floor paint suitable for a driveway? I don't know where to start! Thank you, lots

Whatever you paint it with, it won't last.
You best bet would be a top coat of concrete with a colour added throughout the mix.0 -
I'm no expert on paints but would imagine that floor paint is intended for indoor use. Using a floor paint outside and open to the elements won't last long.0

So what's the grey paint that they paint on the floors of some garages that have cars coming in and out for tyres and repairs all day? That's the kind of stuff I'm after!0

Some sort of epoxy based paint? Probably going to be quite expensive to get something that will last more than 5 mins.0

Thanks Dave, maybe I'll research epoxy based paint and see what it turns up0

Also make sure you don't end up causing yourself any damp problems through hydrostatic presure or water collecting on the sealed concrete.0

Correct, the paint you are talking about is a 2 part epoxy dust sealer. It is a bit pricey, but more importantly, it is designed to be painted on to smooth concrete, driveway surfaces wont be that smooth as it would be a slip hazzard, so what you end up with would be a bit rough looking. As mentioned above, you could get a 10mm concrete mix with a dye added for something that looks nice but also has through colour should any damage occurSome people don't exaggerate........... They just remember big!0

Hmmm thanks for the info chaps! So what's the concrete overlay stuff about then? I just want to have a drive that looks nice and uniform as at the mo it has 3 different concrete pours running in stripes which to me look awful. It's strong stuff although old but about 2-3 foot thick so no chance of digging it up! The drive slopes uphill to the house so you can see the floor from the road all the way up the drive and it's not nice looking.0
