I take it this works exactly the same for funds? Not that I'm particularly concerned about my fund holdings as by their nature they invest across a range of companies/industries.0 -
If you read what I said rather than what you think I said it may make more sense. Not the risk of the bank failing but the risk of what might happen if they did. Bank goes bust you do not lose your shares that are held in nominee or with fund from another company.
I read it as having shares in an ISA, the ISA being in shares of a banking corporation...not the other way around. The grammar got the worst out of me...and think in equities and not cash so just look that way at it! :rotfl:
But yeh, you're right with the nominee thing. That's if the nominee and bank are seperately registered...which most would be :beer:0
