tesco credit cards - stop sending the statement the month the 0% ends

took out a 0% tesco credit card last year and set up the DD to repay the minimum. Got a statement every month posted to me.

Now, my fault, the 0% ended in Jan, but i had in my mind it was May.

I then noticed when i was doing some reconciling of my bank statements in march that the minimum payment on the card had fallen, it was £150/£148 etc and then dropped to £95.

So went online and discovered that the 0% ended in Jan and the min payment at that time fell (plus interest started being added). So i straight away paid it off to avoid more interest.

But what i want to understand is WHY they stopped sending me statements, they say I opted into online statements but i never used the online account after setting it up in prior year and logging on in March to work out what was happening. very sneaky that they changed it in the 0% ending month, plus reduced my min payment so i didn't spot it from my bank statement that easily.

Anyone else had this. I will write and complain to them about it. I accept that the interest was due, but them suddenly stopping sending me statetments (which would have shown that interest WOULD be charged next month) was very sneaky and underhand and they should look into what caused this change in statementing.
