Cat marking territory in my house

I'm not sure if it's my male cat or another cat than I've seen hangin around outside in the garden and meeowing, but ever since I started letting oscar outside last week my house smells of cat pee!!
There's spots of pee on my coffee table and also a big one on my bed!!
I've washed them down again with vinegar this morning and I'm going to get some of that enzyme breaky down stuff ( don't know what it's called!!) but what else can I do?
I'm sure I can still smell it, and I'm embaressed to invite people over!!

Isn't he snipped?0

Yea he is snipped, Which is why I was thinking it may be another cat. Plus it only started happening when I opened the cat flap. But I heard even neutered males still sometimes mark their territory, and he keeps getting chased inside by the other cat so maybe he feels threatened and has the urge to mark his stuff??0

Marking or spraying is up against VERTICAL surfaces. Peeing in funny places can be stress related or possibly cystitis. Get him checked out by the vet (peeing on the bed doesnt sound like marking, more like possible stress related)
Does he have a litter tray? Do you have any other cats? Need to improve his core territory so he feels safe at home, if this other cat is chasing him, he may be very stressed, and scared to go outside to toilet if you don't have a tray for him.
Consider getting a magnetic cat flap, or a microchip operated one to stop other cats coming into your home.
To remove smell I recommend cleaning with biological washing powder solution, then spray with surgical spirit..
I would get him checked by a vet though, as stress can induce cystitis in cats which can lead to obstruction-which is a true emergency....0 -
I agree with hotcookie,it's most likely stress related. My mate Orbit peed over the portable tv once...didn't find out until I turned the TV on &,after it warmed up,the room reeked pf Orbit's wee!!I'd try a Feliway Diffuser which you can get from any good pet store.0

Yea it's not on vertical surfaces so he must be a stressed little boy. He does have a litter tray which he uses when he doesn't want to go out. But to be honest he is always going outside so don't think he's too scared.
He hasn't done it for a few days nowand baring in mind he's only been allowed out for a week ( only had him 4 weeks) then perhaps he's just been a bit overwhelmed.
If it happens again though, I shall definetly get him popped over to the vets.0 -
And I'll invest in a magnetic flap too, just to check other cats aren't entering my home whilst I'm at work.0
