Named driver no claims

Hi all, I'm new here and looking for some advice for insuring my car.
I had my own no claims up until 4 years ago then my wife & I only needed the 1 car which she was the owner for and received the no claims. I also drive a company van everyday for work.

Are there any company's out there that will pass on my wifes no claims to me and/or take into account that I drive a works vehicle?

Thanks for your help

Have you asked the insurance company that your wife is with currently?

We were in the same kind of situation . My OH was the policy holder and I was the named driver . When situations changed and we realised that I was actually driving the car more than he was , we called our insurers up and they allowed my OH to transfer the WHOLE NCB over to me.

That resulted in me going from being a named driver with ZERO NCB to the main driver with SEVEN years NCB instantly!!

Im not sure that all insurers would do this. The Company who did it for us was Budget insurance and I have to say that I didnt renew with them the next year because they messed up my direct debit payments and caused a lot of hassle BUT the upshot was I now had the NCB which I was able to move to a new insurer with!

My advice is to speak to the insurer who is insuring the car at present to find out what they can offer you first.
The loopy one has gone :j
