Help in finding correct recipe for Edamame

Ok last year my brother took me to a japanese restaurant and we had Edamame (soyabean in the pods) and I want to make them at home. I've looked online but most say just season with sea salt but I remember it was coated in a sort of spicy red/brown spice. If anyone knows could they tell me.

Just a bit of an update, found some soyabeans to grow variety called "Elena" 50 seeds for 99p from D.T. Brown and so far all seeds planted have produced small seedlings.
