Will not try any time soon unless get someone (read: daughter or her b/f) to get me some....

But if it does last the equivalent of the original cartiges and holds the smell (wonder what does bags are made of, original Litter Locker bags DO hold the stink - with 4 cats I KNOW they do LOL).

Ohhh - someoen with money pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee buy it and let us know how good/bad is it?

Good you did not sell your thingys for pennies....hold on to them a bit LOOL
  • I use in conjuction with nappy bags, just the cheap ones, even more odour and leakage protection

OMG - just noticed the shipping cost
    £13.99 + £3.99 shipping

That is £18.... if it REALLY is 10 times of the original cartige lenghts/use - would last me 30 weeks as normal ones lasted me 3 weeks each (at nearly £5 per cartige) so this one would work out at 60 pence per week rather than the original £1.70 per week. Good price but.....

But the initial £18 to pay :(
  • That's quite a lot!

I've started using doggy poop bags and just scoop into there & tie - they're free!

Have just come across something quite interesting:

    http://www.petforums.co.uk/cat-chat/128767-litter-locker-ii-refills.html

Apparently manufacturer of the litter locker also does a similar type bin/cartridges for nappys - they're more expensive on this website but off to see if I can find them somewhere else cheaper!

  • Well, quite a few on e*bay - some 3 packs for 99p + £2.80 if you're lucky & no-one else bids - not as cheap as the 10 pack but at last it's not having to fork out £18 in one go!

Ama*zon do the 10 pack refill but the same price as the litter locker.

Apparently these are sold in supermarkets/chemists etc (never really been interested in the baby/nappy section) - so may be worth keeping an eye out when in as I'm sure they'll have offers on them at some point or another.

When you finish your 1st cartridge, keep it and have "play around" with it - I've always been convinced there must be a way to attach a carrier or bin bag to it but haven't cracked it (I'm not very practical)!
"I find it economical to use biodegradable tie-top pedal-bin liners rather than the custom litter locker bags. I'm not sure the manufacturers would be pleased to hear that but it is easy to secure the bag to the litter locker by the grey lid. Ok, you see the handles of the bag on the outside, but it is no different to seeing the bag on a pedal bin. No smell whatsoever" http://www.zooplus.co.uk/feedback/shop/cats/cat_litter_litter_boxes/catlitter_disposal_products/99673

Well, the refill arrived today - will let you know how we get on with it, once I work out how to refill it that is LOL

Still got a bit of the original left so as soon as it finishes will try to fiddle with the refil.

Dog poo bags - that is what I used to do, scooping the litter and putting it in a dog poo bag, tie it up and in the bin but it was still stinky.

The litter locker REALLY works (with 5 cats now I KNOW it does) so will try to find ways of being able to use it.

Do not have an ebay acount or paypal (or facebook.. I am one of those weird peole you see ;))

Thanks for the links, will check them all out :)

. . . wonder if anyone tried using this as a refill to Litter Locker 2?
    http://www.amazon.co.uk/compatible-Wrapooh-Equivalent-cassettes-description/dp/B004RFTA64/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=baby&qid=1303860955&sr=8-1
It says its an equivalent to about 10 oroginal litter locker cartiges at £13.90 that would wourk out as £1.30 each as opposite to nearly £5 each - just wonder if any good?

    My litter locker arrived yesterday.
Before buying I looked into refills and thought I might reserve online Petsathome £4.49

<<I'm soooo slow: Gettingready posting again - Today 4:39 PM - she's got it already!>>

Was just going to ask . . . is the Wrapooh compatible with version 2? Surely is - I think it looks the same, but I am wary (and weary).
Is this (Wrapooh) what you bought Gettingready?

I read that "the refills aren't interchangeable between the models" - both types described here : http://www.dooyoo.co.uk/pets-accessories/litter-locker/1083563/

Think I might try the nappy sacks.
    Very useful thread.
