But I got a dog... perhaps I get a hat and sit outside the tube station?

Now why didn't I think of that?

I do pick up coins I see on the street though. I usually rub them clean and give them to the next person I see, saying "for luck" :D

Gotta be worth trying to apply to charities, and some people are successful.

Try searching here for less common ones:

    http://www.turn2us.org.uk/grants_search/advanced.aspx

Under help required bankrupcy fees are in 'bills and living expenses' / 'other'. You can fill in as many personal details as possible eg any industries you've worked in etc as there are a lot of small trusts with quite specific criteria.

Only then will you find that money cannot be eaten

We have even had one poster sell things like her bed, sofa and microwave to raise the fees. She replaced them for free from Freecycle/Freegle.

Do you have any space on a credit card or overdraft?

Mel - thanks, will have a look.

OMG, only came up with one option,
    Elizabeth Finn Care
    and then:
Can you help with bankruptcy charges, funeral costs or school or college fees?
We are sorry; we can't help with these costs.

Tigerfeet - do not have any cc or overdrafts at all, got an account with coop, no overdraft on that and all my CC are long gone....

    Oakily doakily, just an idea.

Pop along to your local CAB and see if they can help. I know we have a local charity that has helped with fees in the past.

Do you go to church? Our church has a fund that is operated at the discretion of the minister, she has given the money to help one of our congregation in the past. I was helping the person, it was not made public, that is how know about it.

Have a good mess around with the turntous search engine, put all search criteria in to start with, then remove some, then others, try different jobs (if you've had a few). Each attempt will bring up different results.
