Hi
I have a new laptop If I close the lid whilst the laptop is on, it requests a password to continue. I dont recall setting a password, I then have to shut down and restart which is very frustrating.
How can I find out what this password is?

If you've not set it or can't remember doing it then it should be a default one. Have you checked the manual, online support & FAQ's etc?
What about googling with your laptop brand?
Sounds like a secuirty feature to me and normally user set.Regards,
Dave

Have you tried just pressing Enter on the keyboard, which is the equivalent of a blank or no password?0
