Issue with plumber - advice needed on what to do??

Hi there
Have been doing my kitchen up recently and have used a plumber to do various jobs within kitchen. The 2 main jobs for the kitchen were split in 2 - radiators - disconnecting and putting new improved one in - £650
- disconnecting and reconnecting 2 sinks / installing cold water feed for fridge and installing a waste disposal - £245
The first job has been completed although it took a ridiculous amount of time - 6 weeks. The second job has been completed in part and herin lies our problem.
Of the second job, the plumber has completed disconnecting and reinstalling 1 of the 2 sinks and installing cold water feed for fridge, however has not installed second sink or waste disposal and has come up with lots of problems but not actually done anything re the waste disposal. we have now called in another plumber to have a look and have told the original plumber - we are happy to pay him for the work that he has completed but not for the whole £245 - how much is reasonable to offer him for what he has completed??
Our kitchen fitter waited for him to do the pipework prior to finishing kitchen but it's 5 weeks since he first started looking at fitting waste disposal and since then, kitchen, floor, quartz worktops have all been fitted and whole kitchen has been decorated but we still have no sink / waste disposal in kitchen - we believe he has never fitted one before and that he is out of his depth!
Your suggestions would be great??

Whatever the second plumber charges to complete the work take it out of the £245 and give the original plumber the rest,0

There was me thinking a waste disposal attached to a sink that sat on top of a worktop.
All this time I was thinking that but as the OP says it must be waste disposal in first & then the sink & they lay the granite worktop on it all.Not Again0 -
I'd be embarrassed to even contemplate charging £900 for that amount of work. It can't be more than 3 days at the very outside even allowing time for dovetailing his work with the kitchen fitter. Why have you allowed him to do the work at his convenience instead of yours? All you've done is given him permission to treat you in (what appears from your side of the story) to be a rather cavalier fashion.

It does sound a lot from your description. £650 to disconnect a couple of radiators and then fit an improved one. Unless that was an expensive designer radiator or their's some detail missing here, it's excessive.
Half a day to disconnect and a day tops to refit.
How the hell has he strung that out over 6 weeks?0 -
