I've GOT to give up smoking

Thought I would let you all know how I've got on. It will be 4 weeks tomorrow since I last had a cigarette. As I said, I started on the patches. However, they weren't really working out, I didn't like the complete nicotine coverage, felt quite ill. And I was having horrible nightmares.
A lad at work gave me an e-cigarette and cartridges, so I came off the patches after about 5 or 6 days and started using those. And have been using it less and less ever since. I have now lost the charging part of the e-cig and refuse to spend any more money on smoking paraphernalia!! so am now free-wheeling
It's been nowhere near as bad as I imagined. I do miss it, I'd be lying if I said otherwise. I still love the smell and could really enjoy one right now. But I somehow rise above it (hope that doesn't sound too sanctimonious), I've got this far and at 44 yrs of age, with health issues, I don't have the time to backtrack.
And my son's well chuffed !! Anybody considering it, I know it's a cliche, but if I can do it ANYBODY can. Go for it, you've nothing to lose and a whole life to gain0 -

Imagine someone holding forth on biology whose only knowledge of the subject is the Book of British Birds, and you have a rough idea of what it feels like to read Richard Dawkins on theology: Terry Eagleton0
