Cheap holiday for a family of four THIS MONTH - possible?!

We want to go away before 5th May because that's when my son turns 2. The prices for my son seem to jump stupidly as soon as he turns 2 so that's why we've decided to go this month instead of the next couple of months.

Our children are 8weeks and 23months and we're quite flexible on what we do.
I just want somewhere warm and relaxing really.
Around the last week of April.
Not too far by plane.
As cheap as possible.
Price to include flights, accomadation and transfer from airport.
We wont be hiring a car so I guess it can't be in the middle of nowhere...

Thanks for any help xxx

    Egypt springs to mind

The unrest has finished and I can't see that starting up again before the autumn elections, tourism dropped so low, that the prices are really cheap.

Mark Warner do a good family trip to Egypt. The problem is from this Friday it is school holidays, so prices will rise anyway, probably more for you all than just paying for him later on in the year.

The last week of April, first of May might be better if before his birthday

The price will jump because infants (under 2's) are free other than a small charge just to register them ie most package operators charge about £29 per infant, it maybe worth doing a package as the big operators give each infant 10kgs of luggage each whereas DIY probably wont give you any and it is reassuring to have the assistance of a rep when you have little children. If you can go before the 15th of april you should get a good price as thats when the prices rise fore easter. Although there are some reasonable prices for easter this year due to the volatile circumstances around the world. Tunisia and egypt have some very good bargains, and for some reason Thomson cruises have some great prices too. If i were you i'd be looking at mainland spain its only just over 2hrs flight, should be a nice temperature for the kids, foods not too foreign for little tummies. The balearics are also a short flight but may not be as warm as mainland spain.
