Which magazine subscription I didn't know about

A warning to all.
I responded to TV ad for free laptop guide from Which magazine.
i was asked if i wanted to receive further magazine for £3 for a 3 month period.
I clearly asked if this was a subscription and was told they would only take the £3 - NOTHING MORE.
Checking my bank account this morning I noticed that £9.75 was taken by Which. It also turns out they took £9.75 in March as well.
When I contacted the Which helpline, I felt that the call handler was belittling me, she said I would have received a letter with my 1st issue explaining the subscription opt out. I explained that I had specfically asked if this was a subscription when I paid the £3. She said they'd taken £9.75 in March and I hadn't complained then. i said i hadn't noticed the March payment.
She agreed to refund the payment taken in april but not march.
So this is a warning to anyone else who took up the offer of the £3 Trial or who phones re free mag offer!

Different experience with them - have to say I'm very impressed!
I took advantage of their £1 for one months free trial offer.
I was interested in looking at their online detailed reviews concerning pushchairs, cots etc (I'm expecting in June). I thought the reviews were excellent (extremely useful rating information concerning "ease of folding up/down", "using on public transport" etc) .
Being very MSE I did my research and then cancelled the subscription within the month. I simply sent them an email and got a prompt response explaining that my account had been cancelled that that I may get next months magazine in the post (as they print address labels in advance) and to keep it with their compliments.

And me. I have found them to be one of the more forthright organisations when it comes to explaining trial period, date it ends, cancellation procedure, etc.0

I had an identical experience with 'Which' as the op did. But I got my money refunded without any bother, after complaining. I do wonder how many thousands never complain, and never get a refund, instead enjoying the delights of their non-requested 'subscription'.
Clever cads those marketeers at 'Which'.0
