I know I shouldn't leave things on standby, but is it ok to turn off at the wall or is it better to unplug too?

It's better to leave the plug in the socket to prevent the electrons escaping. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0

Joke above in case you had not guessed, but switch off is fine, unplug if going away, just in case some power surge occurs, very unlikely of course, but bit like turning gas off at meter, do if if you canEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
Had me thinking for a minute there.
So unplugging is a safety measure, and has no bearing on consumption.
Thank you!0
