2nd chance offer

I must say I find this a very usefull tool. When your item gets a high price more than your target theres a good chance that the next bidder down is willing to pay a good price also. So its double your money :)

Anyone else find this useful too ?

I use it quite a bit when I have two identical items. I suppose it gets taken up in about 50% of cases which isn't bad.

ive had mixed luck with it?
i normally send the second chance offer and also an email explaining that ebay aloos this second chance offer as someone once told me they thought it was a scam. seem to have had more success by emailing they bidder and saying what ive done

Might give that a shot, I have had very poor take up, mind you I normally leave it half a day or so.

I have usually been ignored when trying second chance offers!! only used it a few times, I thought people might think it looks dodgey and that I may have used another account to bid on my auction ...and only emailing them because I won the item! I have thought this of someone before!

I use it alot. Saves me a fortune, or does it stop me spending so much (on listing fees) lol

I filed 4 second chance offers within 30mins of the end tonight

    and....

I got all back buying :D

The later I file them the more chance that someone will have seen the email that says they didnt win and already be bidding on someone elses auction for the same thing.
