installed windows XP on D:drive (HELP)

use the above to format or delete the partition. Or put your windoze disk in reboot & do what albertross said.

if i put the boot disk in and delete the partition
will it have any effect on my comp,,,,
(i.e) so if i do delete then go to my computer will drive still be there

if you delete the d: partition it will be gone, if you format it, it will still be there, but the data will be gone. However you can just recreate it either at installation time (using create), or later on after you installed windows.

Either way, all data on d: will vanish

still no luck here,when i switch my commy on it gives still gives me the option of 2 windows XP to load up

could you post your c:\boot.ini

if you right click on the d: drive in explorer and format , does it let you do it?
