Shock Absorber Bushing

Does anyone know if it's possible to buy just the Rubber bushing for the upper mounting on a shock Absorber?
The shocks themselves are fine, but the bushing is starting to go - but I can't seem to find the bushing for sale anywhere - just the entire shock absorber!
The car is a 1999 Vauxhall astra 1.6
Cheers

I had a 2002 Ford Focus and the bushing was missing - presumably not put in when a strut was replaced - and my mechanic was able to get one ok?
Have you tried your local motor factors or vauxhall themselves?0 -
Thanks Paul,
I haven't tried Vauxhall themselves - I might give them a ring. It feels like I've tried everywhere on-line, with no success!0 -
Yeah give them a ring, I know you used to be able to get them and Fairy Liquid is a life-saver for sliding them on!

Yes you can buy bushes. May I suggest getting some polyurethane ones such as Proflex or Powerflex? They'll outlive the car.0

Cheers - I'll have a look at their site!0

Cheers Keith,
It wasn't the top mounts I was looking for - it's the bushing that sits in the top of the shock absorber, where the shock itself bolts to the car.0 -

Hi Keith,
No - I've seen them described as shock eye bushing - like these ones http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Shock-Eye-Bushing-Kit-5-8-Standard-Hourglass-Style-/140508842308?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item20b6fac944
I think i might have just answered my own question with that link..........0 -
I just wasn't sure whether they were specific to particular vehicle, or specific to particular shocks - at that price, I think I'll give them a try!0
