official discharge certificate

I was trying to get hold of a letter from the OR stating I had been discharged. After many attempts at phoning the London OR office, I finally got through...to the actual receiver who had dealt with my case!
She said that they don't do those letters now. They will always put something in writing (free of charge) if you need it for a particular reason (e.g. changing mortgage providers), but they address it to the party who is asking for it - they don't just do a generic letter.
Fortunately for me, I was on WTC all of last year, so I toddled along to the high court and got my exemption form stamped and handed in my request for a cert.
All that was about 3-4 weeks ago, and last week I got 3 copies of the certificate. When I opened it, it was not what I was expecting it to look like...just a few sentences and a court stamp on thin sheets of A4 paper. I think I imagined it would *look* like a certificate....not that I was planning on framing it and putting it up on the wall :rotfl:VSP Challenge 2014 #??? - £9.970 -
Each office must be different as my OR`s office are still doing these letters if requested.:pB&SC No. 298

Hmm...Liverpool & Manchester offices (as well as blackpool) are still doing discharge letters far as I know if requested..
all depends as said on the ORs office workload..We all die. The goal isn't to live forever, the goal is to create something that will0 -

Well I had no probs today. Got there, reception rang up to someone and someone called back down a few mins later. Explained what I wanted and he said he was happy to do the letter. He even ask if I needed it straight away, I said no as I know they are busy and didn't really need it today, anyway, he said he'd do it today and I should get it in the post by the end of the week. Each office must be different as my OR`s office are still doing these letters if requested.
