Sorry Keystone, I meant Alan M. Just goes to show I shouldn't post after a long day at work.

In my experience, I work for Creative Tiles & Laminates which also fits tiles - and I have to admit that there are varying degrees of tile quality from all countries. If the quality is poor, we hear about it from our tilers and then try to avoid ordering anymore from that particular supplier (although it may just be a one-off bad batch). We have found that Spanish and Italian tiles generally have a consistent good quality, with the Spanish usually edging it because of better value for money.

Both Al Murad and Topps Tiles will purchase from many countries with varying quality, which will probably be reflected in the price. Ask a member of staff, they should be able to give you some guidance on this too. Hopefully, you can find a design that is within your budget and at an acceptable quality level. Don't forget, the skill of the tiler can also affect the quality of the finish, not only the tiles.

Keystone your to famous around this side of the forum :rotfl:
  • I have just come back from both shops, Topps tiles wanted £590 just for the tiles. I went next door to Al Murads and bought everything i needed for the bathroom, tiles, borders, grout etc for £375:j
  • I prefer AL Murad, better quality, service and more importantly cheaper!! i used their online website and got everything delivered.
  • Has anyone else had a bad experience with Al murads??

We ordered a carpert, they fitted a seconds. Poor fitting, poor quality and poor service.

2 months after ordering still for carpet to be completed!!

    My advice - stay clear!!!!
