    Hi all :o

I got lost around page 269, and then the weekend happened, such glorious weather I had to make the most of it! And OH was complaining about me spending too much time on here :rotfl:

Don't worry, I did manage to do a MEGA DTD shop yesterday morning (and have already had my vouchers back for using tomorrow :D ). My store cupboards are full to bursting with stuff, especially Surf, Comfort, kitchen roll, handwashes, tissues, Lynx/Dove shower gels, Olay, razors, Betty Crocker, Heinz beans and Nutella! :D

I was so happy to see LOADS of lamb on the shelves, I got 7 more packs!!!! The freezer is now pretty full. I am sorely tempted to bin/give away some Magnums to make room if I happen to get any more lamb! And the DTD is incredible... thanks Mr T for paying us to take it away, yippee!!!!!!!!!!!!

We finally had some yesterday and today, it melted in the mouth, mmmm. Oh and we have had pancakes for brekkie the last two days, yummers! :):)

So what have I missed??? Any fabby new DTDs? I saw the Wolf Blass is back at a net cost of 51p (Cab Sauv and Chardonnay), I'm sure you all know that already but just in case... :D

I am itching to get back to T tomorrow!!!

You are on the right lines. I was looking for an 18 pound one since my voucher value was just that.

All the legs were quite large, i grabbed the smallest one... 21.80.

Tricky game I was focussing on the kg weight. of £8.98 to trigger DTD

very tricky.. especialy if you send someone who has not spent hours reading every piece of helpful info/post on here :rotfl:
good luck, hope ypu get it sorted tomo

    DEAR SPREADSHEET EDITORS:

Firstly - I'd like to echo what terryrees has said previously... exactly.

These observations are merely suggestions of opportunities for helpful improvements - I hope you don't think that I am being critical at all as I really couldn't thank you enough for your time, efforts and dedication (although I'm sure Mr T has a different view!)

    Keep up the good work!

    Thanks

    Terry

I just had an idea for another spreadsheet feature which might be useful to some. I know there are notes added to some items for which DTD is affected by a BOGOF (i.e. Buy 1 only).... but I guess sometimes this gets missed. My idea would be to add a new (hidden) column - "max permitted". This could (optionally) be populated with a maximum safe number to buy. Another new column could then contain a formula to determine if too many of the item was chosen. This could display a warning or could be used to flag a warning by another formula ...to display a warning at the top of the page.

    Here comes the science :)

[STRIKE]If we assume there's an item on row 5 which is part of a BOGOF (so only one should be bought). Column M could be the "max permitted" column and then in N5 you could put something like : =if(isblank(M5),"",(if((G5>M5),"too many","ok"))) (instead of too many or ok this could be G5 - M5 and then anything > 0 in the column indicates a problem).

The isblank in the formula takes care of blank cells so you only need to add a max quantity value if there is one for the item.

You could do the same where you need to buy X (or multiples thereof) with extra faff - i.e. a "multiple of" column & similar.
i.e. if using column O for "multiple of" you could use =if(isblank(O5),"",(mod(G5,O5))) in P5.

    Having anything > 0 in column P would indicate a problem.[/STRIKE]

Better formulae made - will pm spreadsheet whizzes.
