I've come on quite late tonight, but it looks like you're all out partying without me as not many of the updates have been done today.
I've done as much as I can up to 3:38pm, but can someone else take over from there as I have to go to bed for an early start now. If not, then I'll pick up the updates again tomorrow (hopefully before the next lot come in!).;)
Do you know, there are so many updates now that I'm hardly having time to get to Tesco myself!
Message to DTDers:
Thanks for posting your updates, apologies if the sheet isn't quite up to date today but I guess we've all been out enjoying the sun! Normal service should resume when the weather deteriorates :rotfl: Or when I can squeeze some updates in inbetween work tomorrow. Nice clear updates off of the confirmed receipts are great timesavers so we can copy and paste directly - thank you all!
Will work the night shift Boss:)Too busy chatting on hrere.
Ask me no questions, and I'll tell you no lies0 -

Am I right in thinking that a Tesco Finest item should tally up with an Asda Chosen By You product of the same type and pack size?
I am hoping that Tesco Finest Earl Grey Teabags 100's- 2.19 and Asda Chosen By You Earl Grey Teabags 100's- 1.50 will give me back a DTD of 1.38. What do you think?:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -
Unfortunately my leg of lamb came back N/A today.
Not sure why since the one I got on Friday from a different store was fine.
Same packaging. Fresh New Zealand whole leg of lamb. £8.98/kg
The receipt does state that it weighed 5.464kg when it was about 2.3kg, £21.80. The one I got on Friday cost £16.70
Will go back to original store for the next leg.0 -

You don't get many in those Phileas Fogg crisps for the size of the bag do you. Polished a bag off in about a minute. Only wanted a few and before I realised it they were gone.
Nice though.
Now for the minature heroes I suppose.0 -
Thanks, I was in two minds over whether to complain and draw attention to the matter. If this seems to be a one off and nobody else has had the same issue, I'll keep my mouth closed and let it go but completely agree with your thoughts.
My recollection of the T&Cs is that there's a clause along the lines of: we reserve the right to refuse cashback if we think you are claiming "against the spirit" of the promotion.
I thought that was quite a subjective term.
I would agrue that regardless of what you are buying or which method of payment you are using, the spirit of the promotion is to ensure you can confidently shop at Tesco safe in the knowledge that you will not be paying more than would be the case if you went to Asda.
The T&Cs have two sections that are relevant -- Fair Use - This refers to the £100 per month, £20 per shop and one voucher per day.
- The General section - This has the clause "Where we suspect that any false or fraudulent claim or one abusing the spirit of the Price Check scheme is being made, we reserve the right to refuse to issue or redeem a Price Check Voucher."
However I suspect that it is a member of staff acting without authority, and that if challenged with a smile on your face would probably have a change of mind. But (everyone) please keep in mind that it is probably inadvisable to get into an argument with a manager if you have been gaming the DTD scheme, as it is perfectly acceptable for a retailer to tell you to 'go away' and never darken its doors again.
As an aside, there is a simple change to the system that Tesco could make that would enable them to continue advertising the scheme, but would stop most of the use that people are making of the scheme in its tracks. For obvious reasons I will not mention what that change is.
*Especially when the shop in question is deliberately doubling its prices to offer them half price next week, and in the interim making a tidy profit from customers buying at those artificially doubled prices.0 -

Now Monkey, I understand were you are coming from. I don't think the worry is about getting tracked - more the fact getting chucked off the clubcard scheme - of which I have nearly 3k of vouchers, and wouldn't like this 'perk' to go. And that is without weekly shopping at Tesco's;)
Mmmm true true. Will probably get a temp card, and register it after the DTD promotion finishes. So hopefully no time soon then!!
Can just use the vouchers for rewards, or even just Double them up in store when they have that promo on, to get them used.
3k of vouchers though!! Blimey, good on you!! That's mental!! What are you going to spend them on, or are you just saving them up and up and up???Half of November Make £10 a Day Challenge: £51/ £1700 -
Yes it would if you bought them in multiples of two. Which is why you will see it said a lot BUY ONE
ah ok so if buying 8 i would have to buy 8 separately? is that right? would that not be dodgy as to why i was buying them separately if they were on offer?
And then also when claiming would i be able to do more than one at the same time?
Sorry for all the questions...0
