I think I'm getting a bit obsessed - I just did my own stock check of all my dtd goodies so I know what I need to stock up on next.

Did that this morning and have totally reorganised all my kitchen cupboards. Have had to start to rotate the diet coke as I didnt realise it had sell by dates!! Lots of ours is up in September and we may well be drinking it until Xmas:rotfl:

I think in the next couple of days, with the thread being awash with fresh meat deals. it would be really helpful if there could be a Meat Masterclass posted so all us confuddled folk will know exactly what is what. I am leaving the meats alone at present, just reading all the confusion about weights, prices and origins gives me a headache, so I am bound to leave the store with a an expensive lump of meat with no DTD.

If anyone can help I am sure there will be other DTDers who would appreciate this very much

Just planning a shop on my supermarket and the wolfblass is now showing as £5.24 in Tescos!

Why do they have to spoil our fun

After reading some of all the stories of nasty tesco staff on here I reckon I must have been lucky because on all ymy trips I haven't had a single issue as yet (touch wood quick!). In fact, a couple of times the staff have been great.

Last night, a young guy on the checkout hadn't seen a DTD voucher before. He scanned it, checked it against the receipt, noted the 12/24 hr clock difference but realised that straight away. He then pointed out I still had 75p left to spend on the voucher and waited while I grabbed a bottle of coke!

Other staff have either not flinched, or said "well done!" if/when they have bothered to look at the voucher. The girl on Friday winked and said "you'll do well on these if you know what things to buy like I do!"

So, I'll just keep at it while the going's good.

A big thanks as always to the spreadsheet guys- brilliant job with this.

BTW, the 2x6 hot cross buns didn't work for me today - came back as cheaper at Asda. Everything else confirmed here already today by other contributors ( I tend to buy the usual coke/lamb/salmon/cornettos!)
In one hand and out of the Other!
