Its definitely a good plan to avoid the older check out staff who have been working there for ages, I think they just like the opportunity to put the light on and get a supervisor over to have a huff and puff and a bit of a drama.

I have found the young kids on the tills generally do not give a s**t , they do not check the receipt , cannot be bothered to sign it, just scan it and get on.

Loving the spread sheet thanks to all who have worked so hard on it.:)
Could someone help me with an item I bought last night. Went to Mr'T as on compare web site All in one dishwasher tablets were on DTD (the All in One lemon sparkle tablets) - the picture on the website has 60 tablets on the box so bought these at £12.98 - however in the writing ( on closer inspection) they say a box of 56 eek - have I messed up? Anyone bought these and managed DTD back? Thanks

Went to a different store on my way home from work this morning, to avoid the glaring supervisor of yesterday.

Picked up a whole leg of lamb, roast tatties. I was a bit disappointed that most of the lamb was best before today ...I mean if they are going to give me free lamb, at least make it fresh ;-)

The SA said to me 'I need to know which items from your original receipt were cheaper in Asda'
I didn't like to tell her it was everything, so I was a bit vague....anyway she took it, and Sunday lunch is all sorted :D

What a nightmare,
My DTD voucher for £20 I used in my local Tesco’s express. Only to find out in the T@C that these store do not count.
Then yesterday my email for my shopping from Friday should have been for a £20.00 voucher but when I was shopping I saw some reduce items i.e. free range eggs at 69p due to the sell by date, yet on Tesco price check there were compared to Asda at full price as per the T@C so only got a £5.30 voucher
Then on shopping yesterday the SA had to go and ask if it was OK to use as I had been to her once before with a voucher, came back and said that it was fine untill she found one of the digits were missing on the voucher, so off she when once more. By this time it felt like everyone was watching me. Then she came back and said that was ok to use. After which she had to go and find out how to put the voucher through the till.
So I have learn that DTD shopping must be done in main store's
and have two baskets one for DTD goods and one for other shopping

I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.

Nothing to worry about. The SA is obviously not a friend of Martins, and was merely going to use your knowledge for her own shop.

Interesting thead. We have no Tesco locally, but IF we did I'd be doing this for an old lady down my street as I pick up shopping for her sometimes...so I'm wondering how they would deal with that?

As for toothache, two things kill it in my experience, whole cloves held over the inflamed area reduce the swelling pain over the long term, a hot spud or bread poltice also helps with abcsesses but they taste vile when they bust ...and if it's really killing you rinsing the tooth with vodka numbs it ~(but drinking that will stop anti-biotics working well so spit it out or put it on a tissue).

IF I got any stroppy reaction from staff in a supermarket while doing nothing wrong ~I'd write and complain to head office. Last time I did that I got an apology and a 10 quid voucher. Some of the stuff people have had here is well worthy of complaining, you're not stealing or anything..just using their own system well.

Potentially great deal if you can find it.

Oral B Pro Expert Soft 35 Toothbrush - £4.00T £1.50A (£5DTD)
Oral B Pro Expert Medium 35 Toothbrush - £4.00T £1.50A (£5DTD)

The wording is slightly different on both websites, but it's the same toothbrush.
