Been trying to keep up with all the messages for past week (since first discovering this amazing DTD and the time and effort everyone is putting into this to help others)
Just having my first Walls Magnum ice cream lolly and noticed there's a FREE to enter on-line Competition on them too. I can see I'm going to be putting on weight very quickly. Haven't seen anyone mention the comp, but after you've eaten your Magnum there is a code which can be entered on-line. https://www.magnumpromotion.com/uk/ I didn't win anything after my first Magnum classic and waiting for hubby to finish his so can have another go.

Haven't been brave enough yet to try and find new products for the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SPREADSHEET, or to use a recycled receipt against another £20 spend of DTD products, and I think I messed up a bit on my shop this evening cause I put Cornettos in when I wasn't supposed to if I managed to get the lamb (which I did) - had been aiming at a £19 ish DTD but it may come back as £23 capped to £20.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned, but it did occur to me that because you can make up email addresses and still be able to get DTD back through re-keying in your details that the monitoring of £100 spend a month is through your IP address. So even if you make up email addresses, pay Cash and don't use Clubcard its still traceable to your household / computer.......its just that Tesco go all round the houses rather than saying £100 per calender month per IP address.

    Welcome!

At the moment it seems to be email only (plus a few crazy stores!) - There are a lot of us who would be staying at home more if they were monitoring IP addresses I think!

Over it and off to bed - then to all the Tescos round the country tomorrow - being sponsored for charity - only joking - but what a cracking ideas - do you think we could get one MSE'r in every Tesco in the Country at one specified time/date for charity at some point in the next few weeks and all pledge our vouchers to one charity for that one shop? MIght be worth thinking on and a bit of publicity for charity....they wouldnt pull the deal then would they!!!

You've helped far too many to upset anyone - the sentiment may be there but not the attitude!! Hugs!

exactly! when this all first started i did a big shop and messed up big time (hoped to get £90 bacck from £90 shop, but only got £57). just taught me to be more careful, and the next time i cracked it, and havent made a mistake since! i think it is stressed time and time again on here to check, double check, triple check items, make sure you know the exact product name, weight, size, quantity, and make sure you pick the right one up. if you mess it up you should just accept it and move on! let it be a lesson to you

I agree - I've fluffed up a couple of times. Stick it down to experience and carry on ...

I'm afraid that you did 'mess up' - you picked up the wrong items and, although that was your own fault, now you want Tesco to take the stuff back and still use your DTD voucher on the rest of the stuff. You may well find Tesco won't let you!

I don't see a problem with taking stuff back - it's not a cardinal sin -under normal circumstances if you buy the wrong thing (which is quite common especially if you are shopping for someone else!) - you wouldn't think twice about taking it back!

If you've got the full £20 DTD Voucher, I'd probably use that first. In some stores they don't even ask for the original receipt when you submit the voucher, so it may not be defaced! But even if it is - all you are then asking is to return an item that didn't qualify for DTD anyway. What's the problem? The absolute worst that can happen is they refuse! If you don't want to draw too much attention to yourself - just take that news graciously & politely.

I think we're maybe getting all this out of proportion - we should just chill out a bit! I keep reading posts about 'Fraud' etc. etc. This is Tesco's, not the Gestapo! We're not going to disappear off the streets & our mutilated bodies found years later!!!
This is a SALES PROMOTION! Like all Sales Promotions someone eventually finds a way to exploit it. In this Internet age that information gets passed around very quickly & so lots of people then exploit it - Simples!!! Tesco's aren't stupid (allegedly!) & they must have taken that into account & built it into the calculations. If they haven't, they are indeed very stupid!

Let's just enjoy it why it lasts & if Tesco Staff are really rude to you - write to HO & make the point that not only are they NOT cheaper than Asda, but more importantly their Customer Service is carp!
