am i the only that doesnt think the deal on the kids 10 quid toothbrush is great thinking about it logically u pay 10 quid for a crap toothbrush that asda is selling for 2 quid u got 16 quid back meaning u have outlayed the ten in the first place for a 2 quid toothbrush so you are only making 4 quid profit surely u would be better making that 4 quid elsewhere and purchasing other items, ie things u will need or eat... u can get a lot more for your money
i think i have explained it right lol
your maths is wonky I think - you make £6 profit. Assuming you pay cash...... If you have a kid who will use it then it's useful for either bumping up a voucher that's less than £20, or covering the purchase of some items that are the same price/NA and still recovering your voucher value.0 -
I went to my not usual Tesco this morning loaded with my coupons...
When I go to the till, I was told that the coupon was wrong, the number on the bottom did not correspond...
"Here we go" I thought to myself!!!!!!
She looked at the amount on the coupon and the amount on the reciept and told me it was wrong, the receipt was £19 something and the coupon was £16 something..
She told me, that I cant have a coupon for £16+ for a £19+ spend.... so I started explaining to the nice young lady (more like a middle aged hag) why the difference, that Tesco double the difference if Asda was cheaper!!!! she went on to say "Asda cant be THAT much cheaper":mad::mad::mad:
YES is da*n well is, I said!!!!!!!!
I was sent over to CS... who was absolutely fantastic.. she phoned head office and kept appologising for having to do it, but they had NEVER had one of the DTD coupons before :eek::eek:..
She called the manager, who looked at the coupon and approved it and he too appologised for the delay.. RESULT!!!!:A:A
So I told the CS, I might be sent back because I have one for my MOther, she just said, that fine love carry on, I'll know what to do from now on!!!!!! :T:T:T:T
I went and did 2 other shops, went to the till to a young lad, I asked if I could spit it into 2, he said it was no problem!!!! hey presto!!!! :T
I cleared the cornetto shelves, my daughter and my husband and 10 other people are walking 32.5 miles on Saturday to raise money for the local Hospital Heart ward that treated my Father last year.. so they'll have plenty of Cornettos to keep them cool in this hot weather... and for free!!!
I love Tesco :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:0 -
LittleMissMPB wrote: »But what if it also means getting a free toothbrush for your kids, which can be expensive if you want a good one. My daughter has one of these brushes and they aren't 'crap', they do a very good job of brushing her teeth, certainly much better than those colgate milk teeth ones.
Maybe if people want to buy it then that's up to them, if it's something they will use then it's their money they are spending at the end of the day. Let them decide how to spend it. TO me this toothbrush was something we will need (even if I did originally buy from Asda as it wasnt confirmed)
i understand wat your saying i just dont get it though when u can get a lot more for dtd voucher... get a toothbrush from asda u r still outlaying a tenner for it,
thats all i was sayin and wasnt being nastybest win in 2011:eek: 4 nights in Las Vegas
2011 wins £8,752.000 -

You spend 10 and get 16 back?, you then use that 16 to buy the dish washer tablets and a tin of salmon, then you get a voucher for 20 back, you then spend that voucher on xxx and xxx and get.........
so you've got a tootbrush, dishwasher tablets, tin of salmon and doubled your money.TESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0
