Thing is the price per g/ml/kg/cl etc never takes into account multibuys and how they affect the price.

Some do, and its not too hard to make a rough estimate as to which one is the better value usually. You just need to take a little time and read things rather than taking offers/prices at face value.

  • Just noticed this when checking their T&C - which haven't really changed since they put the cap on, online it still says it includes mulit-buys, and the only restriction on receipts is that at least one item has to be comparible (well that makes sense).
A few people have mentioned about being told it's a rolling month for the cap, it's not, it says this exactly in their own T&C:

The number of Price Check requests is limited to 10 per calendar month per household and the total amount of Price Check Vouchers that can be claimed is limited to £100 per calendar month per household.

:(:(:(Has anyone been to Kings Lynn Hardwick store today? The manager has just told me that from midnight last night the price check T&Cs changed and they will now NOT take any vouchers with receipts showing only DTD items being bought!!:(:(:(

So from now on the receipts have to show a variety of items otherwise they wont be accepted!!!:eek::eek:
Has anyone else had this happen?

haha where do they get these people from, and where do these people pluck these excuses.... how would they know from looking at a voucher and a receipt what the prices were in ASDA.

You should have told him thats great but you would have input your details before then.

my first 3 receipts were not recognised due to a problem with the system. C/s dealt with the complaint but refused to do anything about two separate receipts on one day as they said t&c's clearly state, only one shop per household per day. HTH
I thought it meant you could only do one spend per day not input one per day, I have done two in one day

Having been enjoying the last 3 weeks or so of relatively free shopping, and having a local who have not once asked to see a receipt when redeeming a voucher or calling a supervisor ( I really feel for those of you who get the 3rd degree or worse!)

Imagine my horror when I give the girl the coupon and she calls the supervisor over ( nothing wrong there as I had the receipt to go with it) I explained without pretending to know too much that they needed to match up the numbers, and then I realise that I have handed over the wrong receipt!!:eek:

Both supervisor and SA look at numbers and only the date and store number matches!! Luckily the supervisor hadnt seen one and said to me " dont worry dear, the numbers dont mean anything to you!"

She scanned it and walked off so I grabbed receipt back so I could use it with the right voucher!

Am I the only person who, if tesco pulled this totally tomorrow, would feel relieved? I havent been in tescos this much since R&R!

I think Kings Lynn make their own T&Cs up from what I have read about them on this thread
I'll agree with that LOL during R+R days I had them say that Walkers salt and shake aren't crisps they're snacks !!

They do use this in our supermarket, however its run by a private company, who scans your car on entry and your allowed a maximum of 3 hours in the car park or you get a £60 fine. I assume that once it gets to 15 minutes before 3 hours someone gets alerted that they might be able to give you a ticket.

Not sure if tesco have access to this.

i would like to add that those tickets they issue are not enforceable....thanks to a thread on MSE i was able to avoid paying mine!! :T
