I tried to use my first 2 DTD vouchers today, at different times .... and had two interesting experiences with the SA's!

The first one told me the voucher could only be used on the day it was issued.....ie the day of the shop that 'earnt' the voucher - I pointed out the 'must be used within 28 days bit' and she reluctantly took it.

When I spent the 2nd one later, I was told I couldn't have my till receipt for my new shopping. Again I politely defeneded myself and eventually got my new receipt ;)

Good for you! They can't keep your new receipt!

    From this mornings Daily Mail:

Supermarket price war descends into farce as Asda RAISES costs and Tesco bulk-buys fail to deliver value

The supermarket price war involving Tesco and Asda has descended into farce with evidence that many bargain deals are a sham. A number of Asda's cheap 'rollback' items have actually gone up in price, according to its own website. While Tesco's promise to deliver better value food and other products if they are bought in bulk also does not hold true. A number of Asda's cheap 'rollback' items have actually gone up in price, according to its own website. The giants have been involved in a vicious tit-for-tat battle in recent months as they vie to be known as the cheapest of the 'big four' supermarkets. Asda upset Tesco when it launched a price pledge to be 10 per cent cheaper than its major competitors on a basket of groceries. Tesco then hit back with a promise to refund double the difference if Asda was found to be genuinely cheaper. However, this back-fired after shoppers found many examples. In some cases, shoppers were claiming payments in the shape of shopping vouchers from Tesco worth more than £100. <snipped>

Its true, but also i think since the £20 cap came in its not as lucrative as it was, he just never managed to mention it before they changed it...

Oh, it's just as lucrative as it was before, I can assure you. :D
