went to SA yesterday and it was insisted that i used a clubcard with my DTD voucher.
i said i didn't have one and pointed out that the dtd recipt also said i didnt.
so manager came and said as people are abusing the system that all reciepts must now have a clubcard with them.....
I'd go back to the store and if it happened again have them call head office...
Its always handy to have a copy of the terms and conditions to show them and ask where it mentions thatTESCO EVERY LITTLE change to the t&cs HELPS0 -
I just want to add my thanks to everyone involved in the spreadsheet for all their hard work. I am so impressed by the co-operation and help of everyone in here...we have our own Big Society!
Remember that its not everyone in here, there is an astonishingly selfish and greedy group that wanted this spreadsheet kept private so only they could benefit, should they get their way there is another bunch ready and able to make sure a list of products remains avaliable to all.0 -

Have they hellers like - i dont know where to go after this - maybe we ought to set up a "we are being sold down the river by not receiving our vouchers" facebook page and get some followers so tesco sit up at the bad publicity! I still havent had the 5 for my dad from monday - i dont know - ill be losing heart soon!!!!0 -
[QUOTE=reevetard;42644730._Why_is_it_necessary_to_do_the_shops_separately?_Also,_i'm_having_people_round_tomorrow_and_the rack of lamb deal sounds fantastic, could somebody please give me an example of how it works, just checked tesco website and there are various sizes of rack, does it work on all? Many thanks all.[/QUOTE]
You have to shop separately because if you combine your normal groceries with the stuff that you know you can get dtd , Tesco will deduct out any of the items that is cheaper than Asda.
You have to buy below separately if you want your money back!Tesco Finest (New Zealand Rack of lamb)
The price depends on the weight.
Finest H/Trimmed Rack of Lamb : (T) £25/kg (A) £9.72/kg
Below is average cost per pack that I bought couple of days ago :
Finest lamb £6.95 (a) £2.70 = dtd £8.50
Finest lamb £6.58 (A) £2.56 = dtd £8.04
Finest Roast potatoes goose fat (only) = £2 x 2 = £4.00 (A) £2.00 = dtd £4.00
So if you choose like me : 2 lambs & 2 Roast potatoes (chilled dept) goose fat only on offer ; you will pay £17.53 and you will get back £20.00 (capped) voucher to use.
DO NOT ADD ANYTHING ELSE IN YOUR ABOVE BASKET. By the way don't worry you are not abusing their T&C.RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)0 -

FWIW, I am using this DTD for items that I need and work to a budget so can't afford to spend part of my precious £100 on lamb (although I'm sure its fab). Have managed to get a couple of Thorntons eggs so far which will save me a fortune (2 shops), bisto, handwash, pizzas, dairylea, philadelphia etc. So grateful to you all as this will save me money over my shops for the next few months. Tried the little hen easter egg with smarties today, will only save £1 if it works but as they say - every little helps!
I'm trying to stockpile useful stuff too - we're having a party at the end of the month so getting stuff for that (coke, wine, burger, magners, beer, magnums, magnums, magnums), bought a load of tinned tomatoes when they were on offer, soap powder, fabric softener etc. About to buy half a tonne of the flash wipes as we get through those quite fast (3 cats to clear up after)
Although we are spending some money, long run this little lot should help cut down our future shopping budgets I hope.
Now, if we could just have an excellent DTD on some nappies, pampers wipes and cat litter.....0
