I say Tesco found it EASY to make promises it still cannot keep.0 -
I bought a Finest NZ rack of lamb today at £6.70, how on earth do I work out the expected dtd on it please? Spent so long reading this thread and working out potential shopping lists to use up/maximise my odd-amount vouchers that my brain no longer functions
I know I could just wait until the voucher comes in tomorrow but the anticipation and excitement just might kill me off! :rotfl:0 -
Just went to my local Tesco with my list of dtd items, potatoes and bread. First thing I noticed were the short date King Edwards reduced from £2 to 55p. There was only me and my basket, I couldn't carry two. What am I to do I thought? Then I came across drastically reduced peppers, mushrooms and carrots so my list got chucked back in my bag and I did a normal shop including reduced bread, sausages, fruit, veg and cakes. I also got buy one get two free flapjacks, offer crisps, offer cheese etc, I found it quite liberating. Got to the checkout and paid with a voucher and about £6 cash. I was well pleased and I still have 2 vouchers0

I don't think you can still use them for Kindles (apart from as a £20 off voucher). People who bought them used vouchers for £100+ which were issued before the £20 limit was introduced. Only 1 DTD voucher can be used per transaction, and the current maximum voucher is £20.
Yes, that's quite right. I used them before the £20 limit was introduced. Sorry!0 -
I used my quantimatic thing for the first time today and it is very good, but not good enough to spend £10.15 on, but if Mr T is giving me back 15p to take it away that's fine:rotfl:
Actually, it is a mad idea and I can see why they are dishing out vouchers for it and also reducing it. I only use it because it is free, but it is incredibly unenvironmentally friendly -- all that plastic, compared to a normal dishwasher tablet! And the price of a wash is far higher than tablets. OK, it's mildly liberating not having to put a tablet in the dishwasher, but the dispenser thingy takes up space and you have to keep an eye on when a new refill is needed. Would anyone here use it if you had to pay the 'proper' price for it?0 -
Anyone DTD'ing at Tesco Hanley? Was in there this morning surreptisiously (sp) looking in the baskets and trolleys of other shoppers but didn't spot any other mse'rs in there.
I was there this afternoon, spent 2 vouchers with no probs:) I've never seen anyone else with dtd shopping in the last 2 weeks either! I think the s.a's are much nicer than Trent Vale, there's some real dragons down there!0 -
My friend just cancelled our drink after work! I was disappointed as I haven't seen her in weeks, but my next thought was 'now I can go to Tesco earlier!' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I need to get a life...
Off to T shortly then, think I will get some MAGNUMS and CORNETTOS now that I finally have freezer space, will take them out of the boxes so they take up less space. Oh and maybe another few bottles of Fiano.
I am hoping for more lamb, will go to T Extra at the weekend and stock up if I see it!
Just totting up the mountain of receipts in my bag and it comes to quite a lot. OH, mum, MIL and I are groaning under the weight of all the goodies, our store cupboards are full! Some of the early dishwashers have problems with opening the tablet flap.
So instead of replaceing the whole DW because of this minor fault, this is a good idea.
That said, your right expensive for what it is.
