Have some stores just stopped putting lamb out because everyone keeps DTDing it? The two big stores near me never have it now!
Not seen lamb any of the stores i have visited. Was going to buy some for my mum as she loves lamb but have been thwarted by the evil Mr TThe trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -

This isn't a money saving comment I'm afraid but just a comment to those of you who like Glayva, try the Benedictine! It usually sits next to the Glayva and is much nicer in my opinion.I was put on this earth to accomplish a certain amount of things, at this rate I may never die!0 -
Afternoon all!
Just been to T again, got more Surf, Fairy, Nutella, Thorntons eggs (gave one to fave colleague at work, she was so chuffed) and tried the 2x Fiano, hope it works!!!! I've entered my receipts already.:beer::beer::beer:
I am stocking up on washing stuff and kitchen roll while this lasts, hopefully we won't have to buy any for a looong time!
The SA recognised me from the other day, eek! But she was very nice and chatted away - and at least she knew how to process the vouchers! I wonder if it's better to go to the same SA repeatedly rather than going to a different SA and having the supervisor called over each time (who may also recognise you!). Any thoughts?jbrockwell5081 wrote: »Huggies Natural Care Wipes now on Buy 1 get 2 free.
Can we get away with buying 2 in that case now? I can never get the BOGTF ones
Sorry, cross post by the looks, but would still like to know the answer
No, just buy one! If you buy two one will be free on the receipt.happybargainhunter2008 wrote: »I would have thought that anyone reading Martin's email would look at this thread and get put off by the length of it. A lot of reading to get through. Also, a lot of people just don't seem to want to go through the 'hassle' of saving a few quid. I know, madness! I have told all of my friends and family, and nobody has taken up the offer. Even after I have shown them the bottles of free wine and Baileys. My OH says to stop telling people, as then there will be more goodies for us. I think that if it was just a '£20 off voucher' to print off and hand in, more people would do it.
I agree - it's shocking really!!! :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:laticsforlife wrote: »The 36 working hours - shouldn't this be a maximum of 3 days
(12 hours per day planning the Tesco raid shop, studying the spreadsheet, writing several list(s), adding alternates, driving round 3 stores, buying lots of goodies, unpacking and finding new and inventive storage places (shed, loft), inputting new receipts into Pricechecker, printing off days before receipts, reading 50 pages of thread - easily 12 hours a day of work there!!)

However I am having the last laugh as I walk off with more free products as they stand there earning less per hour than I have just walked off with free for less than 10 minutes in the store..:rotfl:
That's so rude! You should put in a complaint about that. I would have been so embarrassed. It's basic manners not to point and laugh and he certainly shouldn't have been doing it to a customer.0 -

Hey Cherry,
I got a £7 rack of lamb which was about 280g and that was just the right amount for me for my dinner and I'm a 13st male. So work out from that.
As for cooking it I cooked mine using the following method and it was bootiful! Very tender.
Preheat oven to 180 degrees.
Let the lamb sit out of the fridge for about 10 mins to get to about room temp and dab it with kitchen roll to take away any excess moisture.
Pour a little sunflower oil on it and rub it all over it so it's got a coating of oil all over it and then salt and cracked pepper on it all over.
Get the frying pan on (with no oil in it) and put on the highest heat possible until very hot.
Stick the lamb in the frying pan and sear each side and end, just about 15secs on each raw area and once you've done that lightly wrap it in kitchen foil and stick it in the over for about 40 mins.
Very important about 5 mins before it's due to come out put an empty plate in the oven so when you bring the lamb out of the oven you put it on your heated plate and let it rest for about 6-8 mins before munching in - this lets the juices get absorbed back into the meat and is very juicy and tender.
This made it medium and if your weight of lamb is a little lighter or heavier you may have to adjust the oven time slightly.
Before everyone starts picking holes in my cooking method I'm in no way a good cook by any stretch of the imagination but I know how to make a good steak and using the same kind of method it made the lamb lovely
too much effort for me! :rotfl:
however, it does sound nice the way you make it.
i'm afraid i won't be cooking it this way 'til i get the following items (free) from tesco:
- kitchen roll (don't think T value bog roll will do!)
- sunflower oil
- salt
- cracked pepper
- a frying pan (i have a roasting tin though!)
