hiya
Ive just hit an all time low with DTD, its my birthday today and one of the first things i do is come and look on here!!! deffo need to get out more me thinks!! in my defence i am just at home with the baby so no different to a normal day lol, wel thats how i justified it to myself!!!
so any birthday cake on dtd lol!!
anyway.....last night was the first night we got any problems with our dtd voucher - the woman on the till was a right miserable jobsworth and said the times and numbers dont match so im calling the supervisor - the supervisor went away for a while then came back and said it was fine but they gave me a recalled recepit as the woman behind us was waiting ages so they served her while we waited.
will this recalled receipt be ok next time i go? god i hate it when people are miserable and arsey - if she had been nice about it and just called the supervisor i wouldnt have minded at all but really no need to have a face like a slapped !!!! about it - its not her bloody pocket it comes out of!! tut tut!!
anyways im off to enjoy the rest of my birthday and i will try not to come back on here today (hahahahaha!!)

I bought the 750g cornflakes and the Cocopops that (co-incidentally) are on DtD at the moment. Got the bowl but waiting on a receipt.
Will post when (if) it comes through today.

So ultimately they are glad if you forget and get ripped off by them. Its one of the reasons I normally shop in Asda and will again once this promo is overso thats what the* means i never knew that so if there is a * next to an itema does that mean its on special offer
The * denotes what you pay VAT on, not what is on offer. Also maybe the SAs don't know every deal? Also maybe they don;t always want to hold the whole queue cos some slack customer didn't pick up their free item. They are normally pretty well signed so prob quite hard to miss if you did want the offer!Don't you see the comment when you hover on the cell?
Not on the web-based one that was linked to a few pages back... https://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?hl=en_GB&hl=en_GB&key=0AlTY5zCarucZdGtYS29pVEZQTV9sZGgtbWRsejRGLXc&output=html0 -

It is in the e-mail but it is with the bits at the top not one of the headline posts. Dont think it will make much difference. I think most people who read the e-mail also read the forums and are probably aware of the promotion. Also I dont think Tesco will change the T&C to say you cant dtd a receipt that you used a DTD voucher on as it just says coupon when you use a coupon to pay. How are they going to prove what type of coupon you paid with when you enter the receipt to get another coupon. They have already proved they dont know how to run this promotion by the fact that A. none of the assistants seem to know about it and B. they dont know how to deal with the vouchers when you present.
Long may it continue and lets all be a bit less paranoid!I don't think Tesco can close the supposed loophole by stopping people from getting a voucher for a shop that they used a voucher to pay for. If they're aiming this promotion at an average family by claiming to be cheaper than Asda, then most average families will just do a regular shop. If they submit the receipt and get a voucher, are Tesco saying that they're more expensive than Asda, here's a voucher but you only get one, but please come back and shop here again? After that Mr + Mrs Average won't get a discount? Well, that'll just send them back to Asda will it not? Most people aren't doing what we're doing (we've all had a look at other people's trolleys and only two sets of people from here have recognised what someone else is doing). Nor do most people have the time or the inclination to do what we're doing so I don't think Tesco are overly worried about us.....yet!
my suggestion was that the T&C will be updated so that a DTD voucher cannot be recycled more than once. that does not mean it will be implented and filtered through to store level.
if there's a 'coupon' for £16.78 on your receipt, then it OBVIOUSLY a DTD voucher.
i'm still gonna stick with my predicition. they'll add the point to the T&C, but it will depend on your store and SA at the time as to whether the voucher will be accepted.
let's not be silly about this, there are loads of T&Cs that are not being adhered to atm. but that's down to tesco and poor monitoring of the whole promotion.
what other options do they have?
- match ASDA prices on ALL items? doubt they'll do that!
- come back with more N/A or N/F on comparable products? press/asda will be on to that asap!
- cap a voucher to £15, £10 or £5?! that's just :rotfl:
- stop the promotion? after 5 weeks of being launched? that's double :rotfl::rotfl:
like i said, i reckon it will be an extra term that should stop the DTD cycle after 2 shops. will it be implented correctly though? probably not!:grouphug:Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member
