Went to Tesco last night to use my voucher from this weekend. I messed up slightly, took too much shopping and had to top-up £1.80

My voucher was for £18.50 and the sales assistant said that they're only accepting up to £10  (making up their own rules obviously). Apparently this time the manager wasn't in so she put through my voucher for the full amount. She said they're not getting too many of them.
I will have to find another Tesco to use my next voucher, don't want to argue at the till.

If you use a coupon on a shop but still pay cash/no clubcard - do you think they are going to start cross ref use of the coupon and tracing which email it came from? It just says coupon on receipt - thoughts?

There is no arguement though, if there was a £10 limit they would limit vouchers to £10...

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
I woke up before 6 am this morning after dreaming about this dtd, how sad eh? It's even more sad because I can only do the dtd every second day (the vouchers come too late for me to print them out before going to work and it's not economical to drive to town specially so I can't use them that day) and today is my "waiting" day. And yet, I am making a list!!
I'm mostly looking forward to hearing how people get on with the finish tablets. I was supposed to get some yesterday but got distracted by the salmon and picked up surf and comfort instead - at least my clothes will be clean, if not my dishes!

I've just had a look through the email, and I agree with those who said it probably won't make much of a difference. The clubcard double up comes first, and I reckon people will just skim the rest of the Tesco news as some of it is old news (reclaim lost cc vouchers) and tbh the bit about dtd is not written in a way that promotes the seeking out specific items to maximise dtd like we do here.
If I was a busy person who didn't read the forum much and just read the email, I would probably be tempted to enter my receipt details, but not much else. Here's hoping!

    It's only a game

Living in Poole I just assumed all the Sandbanks lot are faaar to rich to be bothered with dtd....my local Tescos is always jam packed with posh motors. Unfortunately I live on the other side of town *sigh*

Hey I went to sandbanks last WE bought a load of jamies sausages 1st then had a BBQ on the beach bliss :j

Its fab there - all the SA's are lovely!! Been all over North Yorks looking for fellow DTD'ers but never seen anyone and no SA i've been to had even seen a voucher before!! No lamb tho anywhere and its OH's favourite!!

Agree that with this being in the email it could very quickly be game over!!

Confirmed on the Time out 9 pack today £1.28 / £1.

I know for this promotion we don't want them to tell us the BOGOF, but I think its a bit off that most don't tell you, I've been through many tills with 1 huggies wipes or 1 toothbrush and the receipt has a little star next to BOGOF items so the till recognises them but the SA's don't remind you. So ultimately they are glad if you forget and get ripped off by them. Its one of the reasons I normally shop in Asda and will again once this promo is over
