    SPREADSHEET ADMINS

Do we need to keep the quantity dropdowns etc or might it be better to simplify the sheet? I'm referring to the quantity and math columns and the section at the bottom which is supposed to give a total. It looks at first glance like a lot of the hidden columns aren't being completed anyway so maybe we should just limit it to being a list of deals and prices?

The sole reason I created this SS as a spin off from cambermam's is that I wanted to be able to do a virtual shop to find out exactly what to buy for the voucher. When I print it I don't bother printing those columns. :p

PS- Well done Tara on starting a new thread and well done to all the admins for all your tireless work. :j

I've recycled 7 receipts tonight and my mum and sis have done their own too - using my vouchers (I have too many lol!). I wonder if my goldfish really will use that Olay night cream?! :o
I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

Can one of the admins tell me why we have a type column? I don't see the point.

I realised that, I was only asking as the quantity columns aren't being filled in correctly, and some of the dropdowns currently offer the quantity of "fruit and veg" as an option ;)

Aren't the math columns there to compile the summary elements at the bottom of the page? As an aside, perhaps these should be moved into the header so that the body of the document is just a list of deals prices and so can be easily sorted.
Also, have added a 'type' column for anyone who wants to sort by something else then get it back into categories.

They are but they are full of duff info at the moment so anyone trying to use them to plan a shop wouldn't be getting very far. A lot of items are being added without the Math columns being filled in as well, but a normal user who doesn't unhide these columns wouldn't know that so might try to plan a shop where the cost of things wouldn't be included.

I put it so if someone sorts the data by some column we can get it back into sections

Looking for an item I would buy and with low DTD to make up amount to spend voucher and to round up to limit, found Hovis wholemeal (and I only like Hovis wholemeal ).Tesco £1.15 each or 2 for £2.00 , Asda £1.15 each or 2 for £1.80 , only DTD 40p but if you are trying to make up to spend a voucher like me it is okay. ( Somehow though Medium slice in Tesco coming up dearer on moneysupermarket at £1.25, need to check in store.

Fixed. Unfortunately Google docs doesn't have a way of locking cells but I've moved them so they shouldn't get affected.

Hi - people were still posting on the old thread up to 12.47 am so I have PM'd the Board Guides to ask that the thread be closed and put another notice on the thread stating this and showing where new thread is. Unfortunately, by the time I PM'd them, none of the 4 were online so I have asked them to close it when they come online again later, however there have been no further posts on the old thread since I put up the notice at 12.57 am

When you get a 'full thread' all you need to do is check on the Grabbit Forum to see who are the BG's for that forum shown at bottom of the index page to the right, and PM them requesting closure of the thread

Many thanks for all your hard work on the spreadsheet and on the thread too - can hardly ever get to post as it is taking all my time to catch up
