Yay! Met my first ever friend of Martin's tonight!
Hello to the lady in the green top who hopefully knows which tissues to get!
See you tomorrow! Lol
Haven`t met any "friends of Martin" at Tescos yet - was once asked if I was a "friend of Dorothy" in Waitrose though......0 -

aw i really want to meet one of martins friends when shopping, i'm always gawping at everyones shopping trying to spot one:p
Hahaha thats so funny I met a friend of Martins today too she was stocking up on pancake mix. I knew straight away as everything in her trolley was stuff I had bought. Also Staff in that store are always really nice no fuss at all I think its cause not many people do it there.
Looking forward to ASda's new offers to see what I can get in Tesco0 -
OMG, I have just been to Tesco and tried to use my voucher of £17.48 for my most recent shop. SA told me as the voucher was over £10 I had to take it to CS, they would have to phone HO to validate it? What?? Ok, I thought, no probs. SA saved teh transaction and a senior staff member came over and took me with my still unpaid groceries to the CS desk, where she explained to the poor SA on duty there that she should call HO to verify the voucher. That young lady didn't have a clue, admitted she had no training at all, but the senior staff member wasn't any better to be honest; I mean, why is it necessary to call HO if it's over £10 if it's capped at £20 anyway??? Anyway, SA managed to speak to someone who basically told her what I could have told her: to compare the numbers, scan the voucher, type in the amount (you know the deal
). What happened next I hear you ask? Well, she started taking £17.48 out of the till in cash and was ready to give it to me, whilst I was debating what to do - take the cash and leave the store with my unpaid groceries? Clearly she wasn't aware that I hadn't paid for those yet either!!! I wouldn't have been able to sleep though so I explained to her what she had to do.... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Tesco's staff training is appaling, poor SAs! I got all hot and flustered standing there as it took forever, made me feel like I was doing something wrong or illegal, which I clearly wasn't0 -
Is anyone else the same as me, in so far as, I visit Mr T's most days. I buy a varied selection of goods including food and non-food items. I get home, pack them all away in the cellar, then.......look in the fridge or freezer and inevitably choose something that I haven't bought from Mr T's! I think I might have some kind of T e s c o Aversion Post Stress (TAPS) for short Disorder and it does concern me!!!! This past week, 6 out of 7 teas have been non Mr T based - I even went back into Waitrose last night for their whoopsies I think it was just a comfort thing to know that I can get a couple of bags of shopping for a fiver in cold hard cash!
The only saving grace is that in the event of armageddon, I'll be the only one that's fissed as a part and holed up in my bunker with lovely clean smelling clothes and wide awake from far too much Coke Zero!
And I so want to bump into a friend of Martin in my supermarket - I browse baskets and trolleys hoping I can give someone a knowing grin......then think I'd probably get smacked bearing in mind where my local Mr T is!0 -

Just that I checked this morning before going to work and they seemed fine xxx
yes several times!brindles01 wrote: »I agree with this although I don't use the SS myself, after taking a quick look yesterday and then all the shennanigans of last night. But I think just current deals would add more clarity for users.
i don't really use the spread sheet as i have my own list but it is useful to look up other items now i am stocked out on toiletires and cleaning products, it would be nice to keep the crossed out items as if you have not been able to keep up with the thread and prices for a day or two may be hard to follow what was recently on offer but now isn't, maybe delete the crossed out items after a week ???
Anyone else still waiitng for vouchers from yesterday????only 2 of mine have come through:(:(not that thats a bad thing, run out of storage space!
My brother had an SA who told him the promotion was going to be pulled by the end of April!
I am now starting to get the evil eye in a couple of my local Tesco's, may have to start travelling a bit further afield...GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

I am coffee person, the overflowing refill pouches will vouch for that. However, for some unknown reason I fancied a cup of tea, reached into the packet at the back of the cupboard and it was empty:mad::mad:
Don't suppose you could lend me a teabag?:rotfl:0 -

i'm actually too scared to use anything i have got with vouchers(except the ice creams been demolished), its all in storage in the garage, just in case Mr T comes knocking at the door to tell me it was all one big mistake and he wants it all back:rotfl:GRATITUDE WHEN GIVEN, PATIENCE WHEN DENIED

Had my first day off from visiting Mr Ts today since the promotion began and have to say now reading through all the threads that I have missed it. Got no room left to put anything else in my small house. Did managed to cook tea out of the freezer and hopefully now a little room to buy something else tomorrow. Seriously considering selling the dryer as we have not used it since we moved in this house and could really do with the space at the moment!0
