Jazz Cafes in New York

A bit of a long shot but can anyone recommend a good Jaz Cafe in NY.

Trying to help a friend out who is staying on 31st street at end of the year.

Hi i was in NY in October and we went to a really Fab Jazz place. I dont know the name but it is on Bleeker Street, there was a live band and they were amazing!

Bleeker Street is in Greenwich village and there were plenty more places there too.

Try Blue Smoke. Ask in your hotel for the address as its fairly well known. Very good ribs place and has jazz in the club upstairs a couple of times a week.

Is that Dizzy's club Coca Cola? Husband has been there and says it is very good. We were at Jazz standard below the Blue Smoke restaurant a couple of weeks ago and had a really fantastic evening. Good Jazz, nice coctails and tasty food. Get there early for a decent table
