  • If you are sure you will pay it off every month and are only using it for things you need anyway, then keep it.

But as Martin says, credit cards can be good if they give you something back. I've kept my Sainsburys card as it has given me a far amount of Nectar points back. (However I may look for something better in the New Year.)

Does your Debenhams card actually give you anything back?

Anyone have any ideas on the Debenhams card?

    Thanks!

Is the Debenhams card a store card or credit card? If its a store card then i would get rid. Having had the card and settled will look just as good on your credit file. If its a credit card, does it offer any benefits?

    Way to go girl.
I would ditch the Debenhams card. While you still have other debts its too easy to say that will pay off every month & then something comes up.

Personally, I'd keep the Debenhams card empty and open, and only use it when they offer cardholder discounts and then pay it all off.

They regularly have 10%, 20% and vouchers.

  • Confusing as to what to do re the Debenhams card.
It is just a store card but like someone said above, they send you vouchers for free tea/coffee sometimes and 25% mega day previews and things...
Im not often up in the town where theres a Debenhams so dont have a chance to shop there often...
Ive not had it very long either - will this count against anything? Or look bad on file?
thanks for all the advice people!
