Santander current accounts

Hi,

I am looking to switch my Lloyds Vantage current account to Santander shortly for their deals. Does anyone know if the Santander current accounts do Faster Payments like Halifax and Lloyds? I have got Halifax as well. The Santander account is just opened for their deals.

Santander's implementation of Faster Payments is dire. Even if you keep below the daily limit of £300, payments often go by BACS anyway. Stay well clear.

Agreed, I have 3 x Vantage, 3 x Halfiax Rewards and 1 x Santander Pref Interest and the Santander one is so dire that outgoing FPs are a no, no as far as I'm concerned - inward ones are fine.

I have the same current accounts as Baldur, plus a Business Santander account paying 6% on up to £2500 and have to agree that Santanders FP system is all but non-existent ........

Thanks everyone. Just as well I am maintaining the Halifax account.

Drives me mad, when we were Alliance and Leicester FPs always worked, now they've moved our account to Santander they just randomly work, usually when I'm not bother and don't work when I need it to!

I also have not had any luck with Santander Outgoing FPs.
For Incoming FPs, it sometimes arrive in the same day.
