How long does it take to VT?

Cheers for the reply.
I suspect I will have to sit on hold for a while longer and try and speak to someone then.
Thanks Loan Ranger too - I am aware of the flag thing, to be honest I'm not too upset at the thought of it, I don't intend to get another cor on finance for a long while anyway so I'm not overly concerned about that. But thanks for the heads up.0 -
We VT'd a car about one and a half years ago, see above. It didn't have any effect on our financing two cars immediately afterwards. It made no sense for us to sell privately as we had a balloon plus remaining payments that was about £1k over the market value.
It won't stop you re-financing as its not a 'black mark' as such, but I know for a fact that larger percentages, deposit wise, and less favourable interest rates may be offered following a VT. If you're stuck with a residual situation on a PCP/ HP Balloon deal which is looking duff long before the term is up, then you may have no choice.0
