Does anyone else find the use of 'double vision' words in reCAPTCHA eye strainingly annoying? Or is it just me? I've emailed them in regards to this issue.
I'm honestly not bothered about having to input security words. I'd just rather they were set out in a 'natural' fashion.

CAPTCHA, and it is only very slightly harder compared to the old
CAPTCHA. We agree though that it definitely *looks* harder, and so, as
always, we are working on coming up with new distortions that are
readable for humans, but not for bots.'

Not much more to say really. I can 'kind of' see where they are coming from. I'm just hoping that their next distortion won't include double vision.

Earlier today I made a huge mistake installing FF 4 - it knocked out Roboform, and there was no way of updating it to run with FF 4. It also would not let me use Kaslpersky, thus knocking out my antivirus programmes.

Anywas gist of this is if you do the same as I did, and don't have the old version on your computer because FireFox 4 updated the old version, you can get it back. You need to uninstall FireFox4 first, then go to

http://www.oldapps.com/firefox.php?old_firefox=113 & download the version you want.

I can't see any rrp's on Amazon does anyone know where they are?
if they are not displayed anymore can we still enter the competition?

Update: I have sent an email to the editorial dept at sci-fi-onlne and posed the question will post back if and when I get a reply

I've held off for a long time on posting this gripe as I am aware that the board guides / moderators work in their free time and are not paid for this. However, I often get rather annoyed when competitions are moved to Game Over during the day on which they end. It is not yet noon and today's competitions have already been moved.

Surely it would be better to leave them all on the main board until midnight the day the competition ends, even if that does mean they stay on the board for a few days?

That happened to one of my posts. I was posting on the last afternoon of a competition that was due to close a midnight. I was expecting dozens of MSE members to put in last minute entries.

Imagine my annoyance when i saw that some board guide or moderarator had moved the post to the Game Over section within minutes of me putting it on The Competition Time board.

It had been a big problem in the past and encouraged the use of the next days end date and 00.01 somewhere in the title (or sometimes not even with this in the title and only in the post) which meant end date compers had to go through all of the next days ending too to make sure they caught them all, however over the past month or so Glad had been doing the moving to Game Over (see here) and had been doing them the day after they end (as advised by MSE Andrea URL="http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=41842556&postcount=1490"]see here[/URL).

I'm not sure why todays would have gone over already?

Edited to add: For people trying to find them in Game Over, if you go to the bottom and select the options 'Thread Title', 'Ascending' and 'Last Year' they will be around page 2064

I agree with WB and T3Z - it is annoying. It hasn't happened for a few weeks now, so I thought the BG's were leaving them until at least the day after they finished. Oh well, off to search out todays competitions now.
