Princess - chicken pox arrrgh! Takes me back many years - best to get if over with tho while kiddies are young but we could have taken shares out in calomine lotion!!! One after the other got the spots - thru the summer! xx

Skippy - so pleased Wispa is doing ok. We used to have a beautiful cat many years ago and she would let her feelings known! xx

Korky - do hope your DH is feeling a lot better today. How's yon hanging baskets doing!! No prob re the smilies, I had loads stored but a lot of them are now showing just a cross? Not sure why, will have to get some more saved cos they are quite funny!

Sheils - thanks for the rain - absolute godsend , garden has perked up no end!!!

Freefan - so well done on your holiday win. Sounds lovely - fairly envious!. Meow7 - hope you are having a lovely weekend, no plans this end, lazy Sunday

Morning all,

Glad you liked the rain Alfie!

Looks like it is going to be wet again here today. Will have to get kids presents wrapped sometime. DD is 13 tomorrow and DS is 15 on Wednesday - time really goes in! DD's prezzies are all enormous so won't be wrapping too many.

Morning sheils!! Oh that takes me back - now my wee kids are 25 and 28!!! However, we still give them a good birthday and yep, we still put up balloons, streamers etc - family tradition Am i mad or what :rotfl::rotfl:!!!

The rain has been lovely, so refreshing, the birds are loving it and me too!!! Hoping to get out in the garden at some point to do a bit of weeding and tidying up. xx

Thanks Alfie. I have one just turned 25 and one will be 28 in July too. This is the first year the 25 year old didn't manage to get home for his:o and the older one is in Bermuda so won't see him either. (he is in New York for the weekend - how the other half live!):)

Snap!!! Never been to New York - would love to go, we have had fab hols in the states over many years, just trying now to sort out this last one with dear OH - my god, can't believe how expensive it has got!!! The family, OH and I are all looking forward to it so much!

Bermuda - oh - lovely memories - some of my family had connections out there and used to stay every year, fab - never been myself but would love to visit. So many lovely photos and chats - also friends of ours worked out there for some time, had the most beautiful place and a maid to help them!!!!! Yikes, what a life!! Maybe one day! Just gotta watch yon bermunda triangle!!!! That would be my luck, winning a hol there and sucked up never to be seen again!!! xxx

Yeah we price up hols in the US every so often but always decide against it. We have been to Florida many years ago and got married in Vegas but never got to New York either. Hope you have a great time when you go. x

Oh how lovely! Son was in Vegas couple of years back - he and pals did quite a tour - san fransisco, windy city, yellow stone camping, grand canyon, vegas, lol they had a wonderful time even tho money was tight - trying to win one to cut the costs, tho def to florida - no big bears there - cuddly but errrm!!!:eek:

Yip - we did similar - Los Angeles, Phoenix, Grand Canyon, Vegas, Yosmite, San Fran and back to LA. Had a great time!:)
DD is desperate to go to Florida as it was just the older two who were born when we went. Won't pay the costs now tho. Hope you win some of the costs! I won £1,000 on premium bonds the year we went to Vegas.

My Daughter is off to NY in September from a comp win. She flies on August 31st, 5 days in NY then cruises back on the QM2 over 7 days. Holiday of a lifetime. Having said that she's just got back from a Business class weekend in Zurich (another win) and flew to Gozo this morning for a week (paid for). Considering she only got on a plane for the first time at the age of 34 last year she's not doing too badly
