Private sector job growth slowing

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-12954892

Despite the condems constant shouting that the private sector will get us out of all this, recruitment in the private sector is slowing.

God help us if it gets to the stage where that is negative too, as combined with the cuts to the public sector, unemployment could grow considerably, and growth will only be happening in the garden.

Oh, & please do not allege this is due to the deficit. 11 months in now, surely their policieas have started to trickle through. I am thoroughly sick of the condems blaming the previous regime. It is now reminding me of a little child refusing to accept responsibility for what they've done.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Employing more in teh public sector producing nothing of any financial value will not help.

Its hard to stimulate growth when you HAVE to cut a 10% of GDP defecit quickly (or the markets will make us pay high rates to get loans).

    Get a grip.
I am not a financial expert, and the post above is merely my opinion.:j

If the private sector want to take over running some of the public sector work, it seems obvious they will want to do it on a more efficient budget.

That may translate into less bodies to do the work, or lower wages.

How it will actually pan out is anyone's guess.

That's not what I'm seeing in London.
I cannot fulfil new roles fast enough - just cannot get enough good people.

And a friend in recruitment for investment banks is making more money now in a month than she has ever done.

I cannot speak for the rest of the country though.
There does appear to be a London/rest-of-UK divide.

would have thought you would have got used to politicians blaming the previous administration by now. previous govt blamed everything on 18 years of tory rule right up to the bitter end in 2010. next thing you'll be expecting them to stop wheeling out their kids for shameless publicity photos.

Labour politicos kept blaming Thatcher 20 years on, but you hold the Tories to a higher standard? How is this objective on your part?

This is a message board. Where did my objectivity come into it?
