why should people get everything and others have to work 24-7 to buy the things in life others get for F-All
But the example the OP gives isn't people doing F-All .... one is a full time student, trying to qualify themselves to get a decent job. For all we know, they may have worked full time for years, been made redundant, and decided to take the opportunity to get a degree rather than sit on JSA waiting for a non-existant minimum wage job to crop up. The other is working part time, no doubt to fit in around the one who is full time at university, therefore they will have to juggle work and study with school drop offs and pick ups etc. They are not sat at home claiming JSA watching TV all day.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

gob off
Oh right I'm the troll, PMSL.
Well at least I come here to help people who are having a hard time. I try to help because I've been through the system caring for a very ill husband but that doesn't matter to people like you but no matter when my husband dies (he's not terminal but his illness is life limiting) I'll return to work and you can rest easy that they'll be one less (or 2 really) person off benefits to hack you off.0 -

Please explain why my response is rude? Is anyone entitled to know anyones financial business but their own unless the info is offered? No.
Why do you think they are getting everything for nothing? If it is a LOAN (ie a sum of money initially borrowed that is being paid back over a period of time) they are paying for it. If it is out of student grants, maybe they are managing their money/cutting back to allow them to afford to run a car. Maybe the cost of public transport over the year costs a similar amount to having a car so more flexible/beneficial. So they are paying for it not getting it for free!
I just don't see why people feel the need to know everyone elses financial business.

No Buying Toiletries 20120 -
This could have been me a few years back (but only 3 kids instead of 4)
I was on a health related degree so got a bursary
Had worked fulltime previously
We brought the house when prices were low so our repayments were less than half of what most people were paying for rent
Didn't go on holidays etc that a lot of people seem to count as 'essential'
When I applied for the degree we worked out that we could survive on the bursary (and tax credits) so any money from the part time job was above what we had budgeted for, which meant that we could have extras (like the kids going to clubs, sky etc) and save a little0
