Last year I had 10,000 odd points and I got £100.00 odd worth of vouchers which I used for £400.00 odd worth of Goldsmiths deals tokens.

I used the £100.00 worth of old vouchers in my local Sainsbury's and returned my £400.00 worth of Goldsmiths deals tokens to Tesco saying that I no longer wanted to use them with Goldsmiths.

They said that they would credit them back to my account.

This quarter I have saved up another 10,000 points and received vouchers for £200.00 worth £800.00 in deals.

I have again converted these online to Goldsmiths tokens, spent the £200.00 vouchers at Sainsburys and returned the tokens again for another refund, next February with another 10,000 points on top I will have 30,000, £300worth £1,200.00 and by the end of the year 40,000 points worth £400 and £1,600.00. Giving me an £1,600.00 to spend in Goldsmiths and £400 worth of vouchers to spend in Sainsbury's at the end of June. A total of £1000 worth of free spending per year at Sainsbury's.

Because Sainsbury's are willing to accept Tesco vouchers and the fact that they are a different company, they are unable to scan them and have to input them manually.

    Isn't this fraud?

I wondered about that but then I don't know what Sainsburys do with the Tesco vouchers when they receive them. Maybe they just want to attract new customers? I would imagine that the OP would have heard by now if anyone was going to pick up on this as the vouchers are obviously customer specific. Have to admit though - it is an inspired use of vouchers.

    thanks for the tip off

No, I was talking about the razor. suffice to say MR T has messed up again and you couldn`t put through the razor at £54.99 and now the deal has finished.

I spoke to Tesco Direct but that was useless ,they dont know what they`re doing.

Their loss, I will just get a razor in boots in the sale with my advantage points

I rang around loads of sainsburys in my area and beyond and none of them would take the tesco clubcard or tesco money off vouchers.
Asda will take the money off vouchers tesco's send to you but not clubcard ones.

No it isn't. It is taking advantage of legal loopholes and getting consumer revenge, which is the whole point of this website.

It is not illegal if Sainsbury's accept tesco vouchers, it is their attempt to take custom off tesco. Likewise, it is also not illegal for me to use my secondhand vouchers there either.
